Ocean Flyer is changing the way New Zealand thinks about zero emission travel. Ocean Flyer will start operating fully electric seagliders in New Zealand by 2025. Seagliders will be sustainable, fast, comfortable and affordable. The seaglider is a wing-in-ground-effect craft that operates a few meters off the water's surface and couples the high speed of an airplane with the low operating cost of a boat. The arrival of Ocean Flyer means New Zealand will take a giant leap in reducing emissions, starting in 2025. The fully-electric seagliders will contribute significantly towards New Zealand being carbon neutral by 2050.
